40% Of Spanish Internet Users Shopped Online: Study

Four in every ten Spanish Internet users has completed some form of online purchase during the first half of 2016, according to figures released by the Homes Panel of the National Commission of Competence and Markets (CNMC). This represents an increase of 5% compared to the same period last year.

Between January and June of 2016, three in every four consumers received a package from an online purchase and of these individuals, 78.1% received the delivery at their home address.

The study also illustrated the continuing decline of traditional postal services; it pointed out that only 31.1% of people received letters from another person and only 32.8% sent one during that same time frame. This is a drop from numbers recorded during the last six months of 2015.

However, 60% of people received monthly correspondence from a business and 40% said they have received some sort of administrative notification in the last six months.
