Amazon Expands Grocery Delivery, Pick-Up Services In The US

E-commerce giant Amazon has announced that Prime members in 10 more US cities can now avail grocery delivery services from Whole Foods Market.

These include Ann Arbor, Detroit, Jacksonville, Madison, Milwaukee, Omaha, Orlando, St. Louis, Tampa, and Tulsa.

The service has also been extended to more areas in New York City and Seattle.

As of now, a total of 48 cities in the US can now avail of the service.

Grocery Pick-Up Service

The company’s grocery pick-up service from Whole Foods Market has also been expanded to include Ft. Worth, Kennesaw, and Richmond.

Whole Foods Market executive vice-president of operations, Christina Minardi, said, “We’re thrilled to also offer the option of grocery pick-up. It’s just another way we’re making it even easier for more customers to enjoy Whole Foods Market’s healthy and organic food.”

The grocery pick-up service was launched in August of this year in Sacramento and Virginia Beach.

For pick-up services, ordered are sent through the Prime Now app. Free pick-up can be availed on orders of $35 and takes about an hour.

For an additional fee of $4.99, customers can avail the same service in 30 minutes.

Product Range

Customers can order products ranging from everyday staples, fresh produce to high-quality meats and seafood, as well as other locally sourced items from Whole Foods Market.

Select alcohol is also available for delivery or pick-up in Jacksonville, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Seattle, St. Louis and Tampa.
