Carrefour Polska Adds 10 New Stores To Its Network

Carrefour Polska has announced that it opened 10 new stores in January and February this year, including eight Carrefour Express outlets.

The retailer's Polish arm now operates nearly 700 convenience stores across the country.

Most of these stores are franchise outlets developed in cooperation with local entrepreneurs.

Krzysztof Łagowski, director of convenience shops at Carrefour Polska, said, "We are successively continuing the expansion of the chain of convenience stores, mainly through cooperation with franchise partners, whom we help in the profitable running of stores.

"Thanks to the large variety of formats, we are able to adjust the offer to individual possibilities, location in a large and small town or the countryside, and above all the needs of a local customer."

Out of the eight new stores, five operate in large cities such as Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław.

Two other stores are located at petrol stations in Oświęcim and Dęba Polski, while one is in the city of Luboń.

Carrefour Express stores offer around 3,000 items, including a selected range of fresh items, such as vegetables, dairy products and ready meals.

Customers can also drink coffee, eat a quick snack or buy take-away food from these stores. Many outlets also offer the option to pick up parcels or pay bills.

The 'click & collect' service is also being gradually rolled out in stores, the retailer added.

The 'My Carrefour' mobile app allows customers to avail of numerous discounts and offers in these stores.

The retailer also operates the Globi banner, which primarily caters to small towns and rural areas.

It offers a wide range of 400-500 Carrefour own-brand food products, an extensive industrial assortment, and an attractive offer of alcoholic beverages.
