Eurocash Group Implements New Store Management System

Poland's Eurocash Group is planning to implement new store management system technology across 4,000 stores by the end of the year.

The new system, dubbed the Innovative Trade Platform (IPH), 'connects store owners with their customers as well as producers', according to the group.

Eurocash Platform

The IPH is used by the Eurocash Group for the handling of sales transactions, independent implementation of promotions offered directly by suppliers, assortment and documentation management, as well as data analysis.

IPH has already passed the testing phase in stores, and is currently in operation in 1,400 stores, including ABC, Groszek, and Euro Sklep outlets.

Commenting on the initiative, Luis Amaral, CEO, Eurocash Group, said "It is an important moment for us and another milestone on our way of supporting independent trade and increasing its competitiveness. After the success of the eurocash.pl and eurocash.pl Market platforms, the time has come for an integrated system to manage the store where its heart is, i.e. in the checkout zone."

Amaral believes that the new technology "is a real support for store owners all over Poland. By providing this comprehensive tool, I have a feeling that we are actually equaling the opportunities and technological possibilities of independent stores to large centrally managed retail chains"

Innovative Trading Platform

The Innovative Trading Platform is a multitasking solution based on a POS system.

When implementing a solution in a store, the owner can choose the proposed  cash register system or stay with his old device and install only software that supports IPH.

Currently, the platform is used by over 780 ABC store owners, 470 Groszek stores, and nearly 150 Euro Sklep.

Functionalities of IPH include the ability to independently implement promotions by store owners.

Elsewhere, it allows retailers to track turnover and the most important sales information of the facility, and it allows users to categorise products (both with and without a barcode).
