Finnish retailer Kesko has named Hanna Jaakkola as the company's new vice-president of investor relations, effective 2 September.
In a statement, Kesko said that Jaakkola is an experienced professional, who previously worked with construction firm YIT and the retail property company, Citycon, in Finland.
'A Benchmark'
Commenting on her new role, Jaakkola said, "I’m a salesperson at heart, and the best thing about investor relations is that I now get to sell Kesko and its story to shareholders and the capital markets."
"I am thrilled to be working at Kesko, a company that I have previously used as a benchmark in many areas, including corporate responsibility and strategy reform. I hope that my experience will help strengthen the team further."
Jaakkola replaces Kia Aejmelaeus, who stepped down from the position.
