Natexpo 2019 To Focus On Innovations In The Organic Sector

Within just a few years, Natexpo, an unmissable event for organic professionals, has become a hub for all things organic, across all sectors.

This includes food, cosmetics and hygiene, dietary and food supplements, ingredients and raw materials, household and personal products, and services, as well as services and equipment for retail.

Among the trends likely to be in the spotlight at this year’s edition of Natexpo, taking place at Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre from 20 to 22 October, include ‘Green Giant’ (increased commitment to organic production), ‘Sub Zero’ (the drive towards a circular economy) and ‘Healthionism’ (equating fun with sustainability).

In addition, visitors will be able to seek out the latest trends in clean and sustainable living, a key feature of Natexpo, which is set to welcome more than 1,000 exhibitors from around 20 countries for its latest edition.

Eco-Conscious Consumers

Faced with increasingly eco-conscious and committed consumers, organic producers are constantly reinventing themselves to offer products, services, or innovative and creative initiatives that meet new expectations, including transparency, sustainability, fun, and accessibility.

Natexpo reflects the diversity and vitality of the organic market, underlined by the unprecedented growth of organic food products, which have seen sales more than double since 2012, to reach €9.7 billion in 2018.

Focus On Innovation

Natexpo is an exceptional way to discover, in one place, the latest innovations in the world of organic products.

Whether they are long-standing brands or among the 500 new entrants to this year’s edition, all manufacturers are encouraged to present their new products at the show.

In addition, this edition also represents the opportunity to get a complete overview of the new trends in transparency, waste reduction and zero-waste policies, and technology.

Macro-Trends At Natexpo

“2018 was a record year for the organic market,” said Florent Guhl, director of Agence Bio. “Organic sales reached €9.7 billion – +15.4% – with all product categories registering growth, thanks to the efforts of distributors and manufacturers in putting together category streams and secure suppliers.

“In addition, long-standing organic retailers are revisiting their concepts – the green wave is becoming a tidal wave, and organic is reinventing itself. The eco-aware vision is no longer sufficient. It is time for action through creative initiatives.”
