Netto Marken-Discount Tests Mask Dispensing Machine In Munich

German retailer Netto Marken-Discount has installed a self-service face mask dispensing machine in one of its stores in Munich.

The move is part of a pilot project that aims to ensure the safety of customers who do not have a face mask.

The self-service ‘Maskomat’ machine from Falvura has been placed at the entrance of the Netto Marken-Discount outlet in Bodenseestrasse.

'Hygiene Regulations'

Kristian Klatt, the managing director of Flavura, said, "Our newly developed Flavura Maskomat supports hygiene concepts as well as compliance with hygiene regulations and protective measures to prevent infection with the coronavirus or to avoid other viruses and bacteria."

The machine was inaugurated by television presenter, Frederic Meisner.

Christina Stylianou, head of corporate communication at Netto Marken-Discount, said, “As a food retailer, the safety of our employees and our customers is very important to us.

"This innovative service is particularly aimed at customers who want to shop spontaneously and do not have a mouth-to-nose covering with them."
