Serbian Discounter TSV Diskont Expands to Croatia

Serbian discount market TSV Diskont has expanded its portfolio to neighbouring Croatia, where it has now opened 17 stores.

TSV Diskont (registered company name Kasica-S) has around 250 stores in Serbia. The chain offers a limited range of products at low prices, mostly produced in Serbia, Poland and other countries.

In Croatia, the retailer has been operating since 2015 under the name TSV Trgovina, through a franchising agreement. It has since opened stores mostly in eastern Croatia (including the cities of Osijek, Vukovar, Bjelovar and Sisak) and recently arrived in the capital Zagreb.

The Croatian company ended 2015 with a turnover of HRK 5.8 million (€770,000).

Osijek-based TSV Trgovina plans to open 14 new stores soon, including locations in Karlovac, Čakovec, Samobor and Varaždin.
