SIAL Paris Postpones This Year's Edition To October 2022

SIAL Paris, one of the world's largest food trade fairs, has announced the postponement of this year's edition to October 2022, due to health and safety concerns resulting from the continued COVID-19 situation.

Comexposium Group, which operates the trade fair, said that it took the decision following consultation with exhibitors and visitors, with the majority of respondents to an industry survey stating that they would like to see the event put off.

“SIAL Paris wishes to remain true to its mission with the firm intention of keeping in touch with its market and supporting the recovery and transformation of food industry market players all over the world," said Nicolas Trentesaux, CEO of SIAL Global Network.

SIAL Paris will now take place on 15 to 19 October 2022, Comexposium added.

New Events

With no trade fair scheduled to take place this year, SIAL Paris will instead unveil a 'series of new events' from October 2020 onwards, which will include analysis of current and emerging food trends.

“Furthermore, we will continue to expand our global network to offer regional growth platforms with major annual gatherings in China, Canada, Indonesia, India and the United Arab Emirates,” Trentesaux added.
