Tesco Launches New Contactless Clubcard

UK retailer Tesco has announced that it is improving many of the features of its Clubcard, to make it easier for customers and employees. This includes the introduction of a new contactless card.

The retailer has also improved its Tesco Clubcard mobile app. New customers are now able to sign up to the Clubcard loyalty scheme as they shop in store, while existing customers can access their vouchers directly at the checkout, at the touch of a button.

Tesco has plans to add to its range of 400 Clubcard reward partners, enabling customers to benefit from up to four times the value of their vouchers, starting from 50p (€0.57). The new partners will include Hotels.com and Uber.

Upgraded Service

“We’ve listened to customers and we’re delighted to have made Clubcard even simpler and easier to use, introducing a brand new contactless card, an upgraded Clubcard app and added to our list of partners too,” said chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini.

“Clubcard is the most rewarding loyalty scheme in the sector and we’re looking forward to seeing how customers respond to the improvements.”
