Unicoop Firenze Opens New Store In Italy

Italy’s second-largest cooperative Unicoop Firenze has opened an innovative supermarket that aims to ease and speed up the shopping experience of consumers.

The new Fabbricone store in Prato is smaller to the retailer’s standard outlets and offers a simplified assortment of products.

It also guarantees quality Coop private-label products and lower prices compared to other stores in the area.

Store Highlights

The store focuses on waste reduction by favouring products and practices that meet consumers' expectations on environmental compliance.

The outlet is equipped with traditional check-out tills and offers products in low-level shelves to facilitate the presentation and handling of goods.

It offers a range of health, wellness, and organic products, as well as pet food, personal care products, and wine.

Significant attention is paid to seasonal, local and organic products, the retailer added.

Eco-Friendly Store

The Fabbricone store has also implemented all eco-friendly measures introduced by the cooperative, in recent months, in other supermarkets.

It is equipped with LED lights, the refrigerators feature transparent doors for lower energy consumption, and the shopping baskets are made of recycled plastic.
