Veropoulos Invests €2m In New Macedonian Hypermarket

Greek retailer Veropoulos has invested €2 million in a new 'Vero' hypermarket and 'Jumbo' childrens' store in the Macedonian city of Tetovo.

The two stores have a total sales area of 2,600 square metres and are located on one level.

In line with the company’s strategy to support local producers from across the country, the new Vero hypermarket in Tetovo offers a wide range of products from a number of Macedonian brands with which Veropoulos has a long-term cooperation.

At the same time, Vero customers are offered specific and exclusive imported products that can only be found in the company's outlets.

According to the general manager of Vero stores, Lucas Biasas, the retailer will continue implementing its expansion plans, opening three or four new Vero hypermarkets by the end of 2017.

With the latest opening, there are now 11 Vero hypermarkets in Macedonia, of which seven are located in the capital Skopje, while Bitola and Tetovo have two stores each.

Besides Macedonia, the Greek retailer is also present in neighbouring Serbia, where it has six Vero hypermarkets.
