  • Polish retailer Żabka has announced that it has opened its 7,000th outlet in the country in the city of Biecz.

The retailer has adapted the external visualisation of the store to align with the historical character of the location.

Described in the literature as the ‘Pearl of the Podkarpacie Region,’ the city was one of the largest in Poland until the mid-sixteenth century.

The store, also Żabka’s first in Biecz is operated by Anna Pilch, a franchisee from the region.

    'Local Entrepreneurship'

Adam Manikowski, vice-president of the management board and managing director of Żabka Polska, said, “We support local entrepreneurship and offer, as part of franchise cooperation, the possibility of running your own business under a well-known brand, with full logistic, technological and marketing support.

“In addition, which is especially important during a pandemic, we guarantee assistance in many areas of business operation, and we equip each branch with disinfectants, masks and gloves free of charge, so that customers and sellers feel safe.”

    Business Expansion

The retailer is expanding its operations in towns with a population below 50,000.

In 2020, it entered 78 new cities including Gostycyn (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship), Parzęczew (Łódzkie Voivodeship), and Stryszawa (Małopolskie Voivodeship), among others.

The retailer’s franchisee network is aimed at entrepreneurs who are keen on running a business under a well-known brand.
