Cherkizovo Group Posts 22% Growth In Chicken Sales Volume

Russian meat producer Cherkizovo Group has reported a 22% year-on-year jump in chicken sales volumes, to 58,020 tonnes, in November 2019.

The average price of chicken declined 4% during the period to RUB 108.41 per kilogram.

The sales and production volume of pork both increased by 17% in November, while the average price per kilogram dropped 24% to RUB 79.48.

The sales volume of turkey for the period saw a 15% increase, to 3,630 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.

The company's meat processing unit reported a 14% growth in volume in November, driven by strong performance in its carcass and sausage segments.
