Denmark’s Dagrofa Names Henrik Engberg Johannsen As CSR Manager

Danish retailer Dagrofa has appointed Henrik Engberg Johannsen as its corporate social responsibility (CSR) manager, effective 1 June 2020.

In the new role, he will be part of the category management team and report to category director Michael Christensen.

Christensen stated, “With the appointment of Henrik Engberg Johannsen, Dagrofa further strengthens efforts on, among other things, climate, health, less use of packaging, food waste and ethical treatment of animals.”

‘A Seasoned Professional’

Johannsen is a seasoned professional, who served as the head of strategic communications at Epicent Public Relations.

He also worked with Danish drugstore chain, Matas, where he was responsible for CSR, communications and regulatory affairs.

Commenting on his new role, Johannsen said, “I look forward to using my experience in working with CSR and communication in the retail industry to strengthen Dagrofa in collaboration with the progressive merchants, other colleagues and other stakeholders.

“Together, we must develop initiatives that significantly promote the achievement of the UN's global goals and at the same time contribute to the Group's continuing economic growth.”

Dagrofa operates Meny, Spar, Min Købmand and Let-Køb retail chains as well as Dagrofa Foodservice and logistics in Denmark.
