Unilever Names New CEO For Czech Republic And Slovakia

Unilever has announced the appointment of Michaela Franeková as the new CEO of its Czech and Slovakian divisions, effective 1 July.

Franeková succeeds Herrish Patel, who will take over as the company's executive vice-president of Eastern Europe.

An Experienced Professional

Franeková is an experienced professional and presently serves as the vice-president of marketing for food and ice cream brands at the company.

She was instrumental in the rapid growth of these categories in 20 Central and Eastern European countries.

In 2003, she joined Unilever in its Bratislava branch, initially as a student.

In the years that followed, she held various marketing, customer marketing, and business positions.

'A Responsible Approach'

Commenting on her long association with the company, Franeková, said, "I've always been impressed when the company is progressive and growing.

"I am also close to the company's values ​​of honesty in business, pioneering and innovating accountability across the value chain, and respect for everyone we work with," she added.

In her new role, Franeková will focus on the circular economy, and mental and physical health of consumers to strengthen 'mission-oriented' brands.

Employees will also be of key interest to her as she aims to regain the "confidence of the Czech and Slovak teams."
