Re-Vision Partners With Intouch.com To Accelerate Digital Evolution In Retail

Intouch.com and Re-Vision have announced a partnership to re-invent in-store personalisation through the introduction of AI-driven retail recommendations.

The collaboration is one of the first of its kind in the grocery retail sector, and will create an exciting opportunity for retailers to personalise the shopping experience of customers, Intouch said in a statement.

Powerful Synergy

The synergy between the two platforms will allow retailers to use AI to inspire their customers with relevant products and promotions in real-time as they shop in-store.

Commenting on the partnership, COO of Intouch, Tim Arits, stated, "Re-Vision are global leaders in self-scanning solutions for retail. Therefore, using their experience and our AI-expertise, we can now provide retailers with a real-time personalisation platform that was, up to now, only available to online players."

Elsewhere, Michel Haagmans, CEO and owner of Re-Vision, added, "The reason we have chosen to partner with Intouch is that we were looking for a partner who understood the difference between advertisement to online and offline customers."

Real-Time Data

Real-time behavioural data and factors such as demographics, weather, store location, time of day, and day of week will prompt the algorithm to show the right products, to the right customer, at the right time.

The system will be equipped with self-learning capabilities, allowing it to self-improve based on successful recommendations.

Intouch chief executive, Dr Sameh Abdalla, explained, "Using real-time data to understand what is happening inside the physical retail store and provide instant recommendations to customers as the shop will drive value and increase loyalty. For the retailer, this will lead to an increase in the number of products purchased per visit and drive additional sales."
