PepsiCo To Acquire PopCorners Maker, BFY Brands

PepsiCo has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire BFY Brands, the maker of PopCorners snacks.

Upon closing of the deal, which is subject to customary conditions and approvals, BFY Brands will become part of PepsiCo's Frito-Lay North America division.

The acquisition will enable the company to expand its snacking portfolio and offer consumers nutritious options, it said.

'Distinctive Products'

Steven Williams, chief executive of PepsiCo Foods North America, commented, "BFY Brands offers distinctive products that deliver great taste and ingredients consumers are looking for. Their production capabilities will support the growth of our existing, more-nutritious snack brands."

The PopCorners snacks are available in grocery stores across the US.
