Top-Quality Kanzi Apples Reach Supermarket Shelves

The European apple season has started again, and the Kanzi growers have succeeded in bringing a new harvest of top-quality apples onto the market.

After 152 days of growing and maturing, the Kanzi apple is on fruit shelves, ready to seduce the consumer.

The attractive, characteristic red colour, the juicy, crunchy flesh, and the unrivalled taste make the Kanzi apple perfectly suited to the modern consumer.

In the upcoming season, the Kanzi brand will make a statement with an inspiring campaign, in which the story behind the apple and the taste experience take centre stage.

Best Of Both Worlds

Every Kanzi apple stands for guaranteed excellence throughout the entire year. The variety is the ideal mix of the Braeburn and Gala varieties, and it is the best of both worlds: the firmness and sweet-and-sour taste of a Braeburn, and the juiciness of a Gala.

The unwavering care and craftsmanship of the grower plays an essential part in the high product quality. Across 365 days per year, they anticipate all influences that determine the quality of the apple with their knowledge and passion.

“It’s the tender loving care of the grower that makes Kanzi so unique," said Urs Luder, CEO of GKE Fruit.

"We want to bring this story close to the consumers and show how much craftsmanship is involved in the entire process, from flowering to shelf.”

Apple Campaign

To further bring the Kanzi story to life, the apple brand continues a European campaign in which it zooms in on the many aspects of this attractive apple.

The 'Kanzi guy', in his red suit, who was introduced last year, fulfils an important role in the storytelling. A large-scale European giveaway, an extensive Facebook campaign, advertorials, sales promotions, samplings and tastings are also part of the plan.

"It is often the first bite from a Kanzi apple that is convincing enough to make the consumer enthusiastic about our brand," added Luder.

“Our apple has unique traits that distinguish us from other apple varieties on the market."
