Touboul Named Pernod Ricard South Korea CEO

Pernod Ricard has named Jean Touboul the CEO of its South Korean arm, and has tasked him with rebuilding its market dominance.

He replaces Jean-Manuel Spriet, who has departed the drinks company after 26 years of service.

One the leading drinks-maker in South Korea, Pernod is now in second position behind Diageo with regard to market share, according to KoreaTimes.co.kr.

Touboul was hired by Pernod Ricard Europe in 2004 in a financial and strategic planning capacity. In 2011, he held a senior role in financial communications and investor-relation management.

"Pernod Ricard Korea is the pioneer of the domestic premium scotch whisky market," he said.
