Kraft Heinz Sells Wisconsin Facility To Reich Brothers

The Kraft Heinz Company has announced that it is selling its Oscar Mayer plant in Madison, Wisconsin, to Reich Brothers Holdings, which specialises in acquiring turnkey manufacturing plants.

The food and beverage giant closed the factory in June 2017 following a review of its American supply chain. The Oscar Mayer products that were manufactured in Madison, which included hot dogs, cold meats and Lunchables, were transferred to other facilities in the US.

“We’re pleased to announce that Reich Brothers has agreed to purchase the historic Oscar Mayer facility," said Michael Mullen, senior vice president of corporate and government affairs at Kraft Heinz.

"Oscar Mayer is a special brand, and remains an important and successful part of the Kraft Heinz portfolio."

Kraft Heinz Company is the fifth-largest food and beverage company in the world, and produces brands such as Heinz, Capri Sun, Maxwell House, and Philadelphia.
