Leadership Changes At Coca Cola

Coca Cola's board of directors has elected Santander's Ana Botín as a director of the company with immediate effect on Thursday, 18 July.

Botín, 52, is currently CEO at Santander UK plc and has held roles elsewhere within the global Santander Group and at JP Morgan.

“Ana brings an international perspective and a high level of financial expertise to our Company,” said Muhtar Kent, Chairman and CEO, The Coca-Cola Company.

“Her knowledge of global macroeconomic issues, experience as an entrepreneur and commitment to sustainable communities will be invaluable as we continue to grow and develop our business around the world.”

In a further leadership change at the drinks giant, Coca Cola's board of directors has appointed Brent Hastie as vice president of the company, with immediate effect.

Hastie first joined Coca Cola in 2006 and has held a number of roles at the world's largest beverage manufacturer, including the position of chief strategy officer for Coca Cola refreshments; president of active lifestyle brands and vice president of strategy and planning for the the North American group.

He was recently named as vice president of strategy and planning at Coca Cola, which was effective from 15 July.
