Lenta Opens 38th Supermarket In Moscow

Russian retail chain Lenta has announced that it has opened its 38th supermarket in Moscow.

The new store is a ‘large format’ supermarket located in the City shopping centre in Korolev City, Moscow.

The store features 1,447 square metres (924 square metres of selling space) and will operate from 8:00 am till 11:00 pm, seven days a week.

The store will be stocked by a ‘broad product assortment of 6,900 SKUs’, which have been specifically selected for residents of Moscow. Products include Lenta’s range of private labels, federal products and local produce.

Opening Rate

This is Lenta’s seventh store opening in 2017. It means that retailer now has 195 hypermarkets across and 55 supermarkets 78 cities. It just recently opened a store in Moscow this April.

Lenta's store multiplication process has greatly benefited their profits It recently revealed its total sales increase of 17.2% in Q1 2017 to RUR 77.9 billion (€1.29 billion), and a like-for-like increase of 1.7% compared to the same period last year.
