Lenta Opens Fourth Hypermarket In Yaroslavl

Russian retailer Lenta has opened its fourth hypermarket in the city of Yaroslavl on a premises previously operated by the Nash hypermarkets brand.

Located to the northeast of Moscow, the new Yaroslavl store is a Lenta compact format hypermarket.

It has a total area of 9,188 square metres with 3,875 square metres of selling space and is located at 108 Moscovsky avenue, Yaroslavl. It is open from 8 am to 11 pm, seven days a week.

The store has a product assortment of 18,000 SKUs, which Lenta says are 'specifically tailored' to the locals’ needs. The products include private labels, federal product ranges and local produce.

The store property is leased by Lenta and has 490 parking spaces and 23 cash registers including four self-checkout lanes, according to the retailer.

Capital Growth

The company said that this opening marks its twenty-sixth hypermarket opening in 2017 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 217 hypermarkets in 79 cities across Russia and 71 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and the Central region.

The retailer has opened several stores in Moscow and the surrounding area over the past couple of weeks. In November alone, it opened seven hypermarkets in the capital, six of which took over from Nash hypermarkets.
