Lenta Re-Elects Board Of Directors At AGM
Russian retailer Lenta has re-elected all seven of its non-executive directors at its annual general meeting in St. Petersburg.
John Oliver (chairman), Stephen Johnson, Anton Artemyev, Michael Lynch-Bell, Dmitry Shvets, Stephen Peel and Martin Elling will all resume their positions with the company. The first meeting of the board's new term is scheduled for July 2017.
In addition, the company’s annual accounts for the financial year ending 31 December 2016 were reviewed at the AGM, and Ernst & Young was reappointed as Lenta’s auditor until the company’s next AGM.
The retailer also opened its 39th store in Moscow last week, in the Melody shopping centre in Aprelevka.
The new outlet in Moscow is Lenta’s ninth supermarket opening in 2017, and it only recently opened another store in the city at the end of May.
This brings the total number of Lenta stores to 195 hypermarkets in 78 cities across Russia, and 57 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and the central region.
