The second store, located at 50B Karl Marks street in Tikhvin, has a total area of 1,760 square metres including 1,136 square metres of selling space.

It has 150 parking spaces, 11 cash registers and is open from 8.00 hours to 23:00 hours, seven days a week.

Store Renovation

The retailer has reconstructed both stores to implement a store design that caters to the needs of customers and focuses on fresh produce and healthy food items.

Like other Lenta outlets, the stores have been equipped with sanitising stations and protective screens at checkouts to minimise risks related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The two new openings are the retailer’s sixth and seventh supermarket launches in 2020 and take the total number of Lenta stores to 248 hypermarkets in 88 cities across Russia and 138 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and the Central region.

In 2019, the company’s board of directors approved a capex of RUB1.9 billion to open 29 supermarkets in Moscow during 2020-2021 with a total selling space of approximately 24,000 square metres as part of a contract with ADG real estate development group.
