Lidl has issued a warning in the German press after a fraud email offering a €300 discount in Lidl stores was received by thousands of shoppers last week. The email asks the individual to enter in their personal details in return for a €300 shopping voucher, however, the site is a scam, and Lidl has distanced itself from it.
On its website, Lidl issued the following statement" "Lidl is not affiliated with this offer or the company Redline Inc. The coupons are not redeemable at our grocery stores." Lidl recommend any recipients of the email delete it immediately.
It is not known how many consumers have signed up for the 'voucher'. (13 Sept)
