Campari Sees Sales Growth in 2014

Italian beverages group Campari saw its sales rise by 2.4 per cent to €1.56 billion in 2014.

According to full year results, net profit dropped by 13.9 per cent to €128.9 million in the same period. Net financial debt stood at €978.5 million, up from €852.8 million the previous year.

All regions showed positive organic sales growth in 2014. Americas were up by four per cent, mitigated by continuing realignment of shipment with positive underlying depletions and consumption trends in the US, particularly for Wild Turkey bourbon, and continued strong growth in Argentina and Brazil.

Italy increased by 3.5 per cent, driven by aperitifs, particularly Aperol and the single serve aperitifs.

Organic sales growth in the rest of Europe was 3.2 per cent, thanks to a solid performance in Russia driven by sparkling wines and Western European markets driven by Aperol.

The rest of world showed a positive sales performance of 1.5 per cent: Australia remained weak, and was more than offset by the positive development of emerging markets (particularly Nigeria, South Africa and China) and Global Travel Retail.
