M-Commerce In France Up 98%: Report

The most recent research carried out by Demandware, the American software technology company, reveals that m-shopping in France increased by 98 per cent during the first quarter of 2015, LSA reports.

Such mobile transactions within France are becoming more and more common, now accounting for a larger and larger proportion of e-commerce purchases, with the figure now standing at 11 per cent. The research shows computers have lost eight per cent of e-commerce traffic to mobiles.

Demandware says that this owes to three essential facts: that retailers’ websites are more responsive to mobile technology, and are easier to navigate with mobiles; that the average screen size of smartphones has significantly increased in the last 12 months; and that to the fact that millennials are less wary of the security threats of making online transactions.
