M&S Unveils Limited Edition Engraved Biscuit Tins

British retailer Marks & Spencer has unveiled a limited edition biscuit tin - with just 1500 to be sold - to commemorate the birth of the royal baby.

The engraved text, which reads 'Congratulations to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge' was undertaken by a family-run team based in Manchester.

The tin also features the new birth date and a limited edition number.

The first four tins were sent to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, The Queen, The Prince of Wales and the Middleton family.

Laura Fernandez of Marks & Spencer's packaging team said, “We know how excited our customers are about the Royal Baby, so we pulled out all the stops to get our engraved biscuit tin in stores within 24 hours of the name being announced."

The tins went on sale for £20 in selected M&S stores.
