Marks And Spencer To Partner With Microsoft On AI Retail Programme
British retailer Marks and Spencer and Microsoft have launched a strategic partnership which will use artificial intelligence (AI) to ‘transform’ retail.
The collaboration will see Microsoft AI engineers work with the Marks and Spencer technology team to research and test the opportunities for technology and AI within a retail environment, with the goal of improving customer experience and optimising operations.
The initiative is part of the company’s ‘Digital First Retailer’ focus, included in its business-wide transformation endeavour, which was announced in November 2017.
