Maxima Bulgaria has opened a new T Market supermarket in Kostinbrod, following an investment of BGN 3 million (€1.53 million).
The store has a total area of 1,200 square metres, of which 700 square metres is retail space.
The store stocks around 7,000 food and non-food SKUs, mostly Bulgarian products, including fresh meat, as well as a range of imported items.
Meanwhile, the retailer is seeking regulatory clearance to buy four stores from Bourgas-based company Atanas Plamenov – 2016, reports news outlet Capital.

According to reports, the stores are located in Pleven, Sliven, Yambol and Karnobat, and were previously leased by Penny Market, before the company pulled out of the Bulgarian market.
Maxima Bulgaria is part of the Maxima Grupe Holding, which operates retail chains in four other countries - Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland. In Bulgaria, the company has 64 T Market stores in 31 cities across the country.
