Migros Announces Contactless Payments For Autumn 2013

Switzerland's grocery market leader Migros has announced plans to roll out contactless payment across all of its stores, starting in autumn 2013.

All POS terminals in Migros' portfolio of stores, M restaurants, takeaways and retail warehouses are being prepared for contactless payments of up to CHF40 (€32.49) The conversion phase of payment terminals on the NFC (Near Field Communication) systems has been running since June 2013.

According to Migros, there are more than one million cardholders in Switzerland who can use Paypass, Paywave or Payexpress contactless payment. systems.
