Milk Drink Brand Cacolac Turnover Up 5% To €9.3 Million
French milk-based drink brand Cacolac saw its sales rise by 5% over 2016, with social media key to the company’s growth.
The company’s turnover reached €9.3 million, according to LSA-Conso.fr, while the brand itself is now familiar to almost three-quarters of the French population. It sold 15 million bottles of its milk-based products over the 12 months, which are available in all major French hypermarket chains.
Its 2016 promotion employed YouTube, where its videos have reached over two million hits, Facebook, where it has 350,000 fans, and Twitter, where it has accumulated 7,400 followers.
In a press release, the company said, ‘Cacolac is now familiar to 74% of French consumers, and it has become the second-most referenced chocolate milk brand [in France].’
This year, to complement existing flavours Cacolac Original, Cacolac Praliné Noisette and Cacolac Caramel, the brand will release two new flavours onto the French market.
