Coca-Cola Iberian Partners will market the brands Monster Energy and Burn in Portugal, Spain and Andorra from February 2.
According to the agreement, The Coca-Cola Company will hold 17 per cent of the shares of the Monster Beverage Corporation, while contemplating the transfer of distribution rights for Monster Energy and Burn in some countries, including Portugal.
Coca-Cola is the main distributor of Monster globally, while Monster is the exclusive partner of Coca-Cola in the energy drinks sector.
Thus, Coca-Cola Iberian Partners reinforces its investment in the category of energy drinks, by expanding the range of products aimed at different and complementary targets.
