Capitaine Houat Factory Rescued By Global Seafoods Investment

French seafood company Capitaine Houat, which is a Mousquetaires subsidiary, has reversed its decision to close its facility in Plougasnou following a new agreement with GSF (Global Seafoods SAS).

GSF is affiliated with fresh produce company Groupe Le Saint. There were two other potential investors willing to pour capital the site, according to media reports.

Les Mousquetaires says the deal 'will safeguard employment, and offer synergies'.

The closure of the factory was announced in April, and scheduled to occur on 21 October 2016. The Mousquetaires-GSF agreement was signed on 20 October.
