Mousquetaires Reaffirms Commitment To Private Label Beef Suppliers

Intermarché and Agromousquetaire, le Groupement des Mousquetaires’s agrifood division, have said that they wish to maintain the ‘privileged’ relationship that exists between them and their private label beef suppliers, particularly in cases where suppliers work with the subsidiary SVA-Jean Rozé.

'In the context of this crisis which has hit our [France’s] beef sector, the group reaffirms that it will maintain its current engagement with its private label suppliers,' the retailer said in a press release.

Three kinds of beef – charolais, limousine and blonde d’Aquitaine – are produced under the agreement between Agromousquetaire and its contracted farmers, and sold in more than 1,800 stores.

Le Groupement des Mousquetaires says it wishes to encourage the consumption of high-quality beef in France, continue to develop durable partnerships with its beef farmers, and work in a way that is respectful to animals and the environment.
