Netto Unveils 'Discount Store Of The Future' In Copenhagen
Netto, part of Denmark's Salling Group, has unveiled a new concept store in Copenhagen, as part of a brand overhaul.
The 900-square-metre outlet features a much larger fruit and vegetable selection, a wider range of convenience products, a new colour palette (even the familiar Netto yellow has received a new look) and the introduction of a more Scandinavian look and feel, with the use of wooden logs in the fresh department.
The layout of the store has also been altered, the retailer said, in order to improve traffic flow and make it easier for customers to find the items for which they are looking.
Enjoyable Place To Shop
"We want to make the future discount store based on a more enjoyable place to shop, characterised by a strong assortment of quality products at discount prices and great freshness," said Michael Løve, Netto's director.
"We are tailoring the shop to customer demand, with distinctive fruit and vegetable departments, convenience, and easy navigation throughout the store. Across the shop you will find an enhanced experience, which we hope will make our customers feel welcome," Løve added.
Over the past year, Netto has tested a number of concepts, focusing on colour selection and overall design, in selected stores in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Poland. These findings have been used in the creation of the new store.
The store is located at Kongelundsvej 49, 2300 Copenhagen.
