New Strategic Partner For TuttoFood

TUTTOFOOD, the bi-annual world food exhibition, has entered into a strategic partnership with Assica, the asssociation for Italian producers in the meat and cured meat sector.

The agreement, valid until 2021, includes a national exclusivity clause which means Assica will participate at the Milan-based food exhibition alone. In turn, TUTTOFOOD will guarantee Assica members special conditions for the exhibition, as well as for EXPO Milano 2015, at which TUTTOFOOD will be the inaugural event.

“Once again, an agreement with an important association such as Assica,” said Enrico Pazzali, CEO of Fiera Milano SpA, organisers of TUTTOFOOD, “lays the foundation for making TUTTOFOOD the international platform for the Italian agri-food industry. A forward-looking and courageous choice by the association which serves above all to support Italian businesses in finding the route to the export growth that our country needs. Assica will be able to exploit our foreign network, through the Food Hospitality World exhibition (active in Brazil, China, India) and Fiera Milano venues worldwide."

The aim of the agreement is to create an event that can bring together the sector’s opinion makers. Functioning as a point of reference for the market, TUTTOFOOD will express information and ideas through workshops and meetings with operators, both Italian and international, consolidating its leading role in the market.

The real crux of the agreement is that the overlap with EXPO Milano 2015 makes TUTTOFOOD the ideal springboard for continuous growth of the delicatessen sector in relation to the most promising foreign markets. "The partnership with Fiera Milano results from the centrality that a global impetus has for our businesses today," said Lisa Ferrarini, president of Assica. “Today, even more than in the past, it is perfectly evident that our future is bound up with the capacity for growth in foreign markets. The 2015 Expo is certainly creating great expectation. It will occupy the area adjacent to the exhibition also during the 2015 edition of TUTTOFOOD and will undoubtedly contribute to valorising the Italian food industry, of which cured meats represent one of the most well known and appetising ‘slices’, still more.” (23 Jan)
