Alain Carini has been appointed logistical director of Biocoop, the French supply-chain consultancy and organic-food firm.The company, founded in 2002, is one of the leading forces in France for organic-food logistics.
Carini joins from Naturalia, the French maker of organic foods and cosmetics, where he held the position of director general since June 2014.LSA, the French FMCG retail publication, reports that he developed, during his time at Naturalia, “competence in both logistics and, specifically, the logistics behind organic products.” He was head of Monoprix's supply chain network between 2003 and 2008.
His new job portfolio includes responsibilities in transport, stock management, as well as security and quality maintenance.
