Franprix Launches 'Noé' Organic Store Concept In Paris

French retailer Franprix has launched a new convenience store concept, Franprix Noé, which will have a focus on gourmet, organic, and local produce.

The retailer describes the store as a place for urban customers who want to shop in a responsible manner, and has already opened two outlets in Paris.

"Our job is to provide the public with an offering that allows them to be sure of the origin of the products they buy, and move towards more responsible consumption," said Jean-Paul Mochet, managing director of Franprix.

New Ideas

The company says the new outlets develop and expand the ideas it started with its Mandarin store concept, which was first launched in 2015.

Franprix Noé will feature a range of fresh organic juices and coffee for take-away or for consumption in the store's seating area, as well as cheese and meat counters, and freshly-baked bread, pastries and pies.

It will also sell many products in bulk to reduce packaging, such as wine, cereals, lentils, quinoa, flour, rice, and spices. Household products, such as laundry detergent and dishwasher liquid, are also sold in bulk, in reusable containers, allowing customers to buy the exact quantity of product that they need.

"We call this a true oasis in the world of distribution," added Mochet.
