Ardagh Wins Three Packaging Awards

Irish glass packaging giant Ardagh Group was awarded three Clear Choice Awards by the Glass Packaging Institute (GPI).

 

The awards for Ardagh Group include glass packaging for Straus Family Creamery’s Organic Milk, Moreno BHLV’s California Sparkling Wine with Metallic Leopard Print, and Pernod Ricard’s Seagram’s Distiller’s Reserve Gin (pictured).

Across the Clear Choice Awards categories, seven products were selected from among 71 entries by judges based on innovation, package design (including container label and closure) and consumer appeal.

The custom-designed half-gallon milk jug that Ardagh Group manufactured for Straus Family Creamery’s Organic Milk won GPI’s 2014 Clear Choice Award in the Non-Alcoholic Beverage category.

The leopard-print glass bottle that Ardagh manufactured for Moreno BHLV’s California Sparkling Wine won GPI’s 2014 Clear Choice Award in the Wine category.

The customised embossed bottle manufactured for Pernod Ricard’s Seagram’s Distiller’s Reserve Gin won the People’s Choice Award.

The Clear Choice Awards is the only awards programme that recognises the contribution that glass packaging makes to the image and success of everyday products.

Ardagh Group, which began life in Ireland and has several Irish shareholders, is one of the world's biggest producers of glass and metal packaging products. It has several high-profile clients, such as Coca-Cola, Pernod Ricard, Nestlé and John West.
