Beiersdorf Restructures Communications And Sustainability Department

Beiersdorf AG has announced structural changes to its communications and sustainability department led by Inken Hollmann-Peters, who is set to retire at the end of August 2020.

Hollmann-Peters spent 32 years in the company in various managerial roles in marketing, sustainability, and corporate communications.

The sustainability department will operate as an independent division, effective 1 July 2020.

Jean-François Pascal, the managing director for Beiersdorf France, Belgium and the Netherlands will lead the department.

CEO of Beiersdorf, Stefan De Loecker said, “The new structure reflects our determination to offer more than first-class skin-care products.

"We want to further strengthen and expand our commitment to society, the environment, and people. Our new Sustainability Agenda is an ambitious holistic programme that will be systematically carried out.”

The communications department will operate as the corporate communications and government relations division.

The Nivea-maker has appointed BASF executive Anke Schmidt as the head of this department, effective 1 September 2020.

Presently, Schmidt serves as the head of corporate communications and government relations at BASF SE.

She is an experienced professional who spent more than 24 years in the company in several managerial roles in the communications and human resources departments, both inside and outside of Germany.

Commenting on her appointment, De Loecker, said, “We are very pleased that we could attract such an exceptional communications manager as Anke Schmidt to succeed her [Inken Hollmann-Peters] at Beiersdorf.

"Drawing on her expertise and international experience, Anke Schmidt will move our C.A.R.E.+ agenda forward in the years to come.”
