Development In Meat-Packaging

Scobie & Junor, a UK firm which provides a variety of services with the EU FMCG market, has formed a partnetship with the Vienna-based firm Premium Pack.

Together they have developed a shrink bag for meat products called Premium Max. The product is designed to be installed into meat processors so that they can package meat that contains sharp bones, according to foodproductiondaily.com.

The pouch in question is highly resilient and thus can remove bone-guard from raw meat. It was made with attention to the visual, as it can be generated in up to eight colours.

Scobie & Junor' Gordon Wicklow stated "The Premium Max 95 micron shrink bag will bring significantr benefits to the UK and Irish meat markets with the growing focus on reducing packaging waste whilst improving on shelf appearance."
