Hennessy Opens €100 Million Pont Neuf Bottling Plant

Hennessy has announced that it inaugurated its new Pont Neuf cognac bottling and logistics site, following an investment of €100 million.

The drinks maker says that the new facility will be used to boost production capacity in line with Hennessy's growth, and to secure production and logistics flow.

"This latest investment reflects the long-term vision that guides Hennessy and the entire LVMH Group," said Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH).

"By making long-term investments in artisanal savoir-faire and in the appeal of our products around the world, we enable our Maisons to grow and develop employment in France, in the regions where they were founded."

Strategic Facility

The new 26,000 square metre facility includes traceability systems and high-speed bottling lines, with environmentally-friendly building standards.

“Pont Neuf is much more than a strategic facility," added Hennessy president Bernard Peillon.

"This new investment further extends the chain of excellence that begins with our 1,600 winegrower partners and continues with entire Hennessy community to deliver the cognacs in which we all take great pride."

Earlier this month, the wine and spirits arm of LVMH recorded organic revenue growth of 8%, with turnover reaching €3.51 billion, driven by sales of Hennessy cognac, which were up by 9%.
