Packaging Oscar Goes To Belgium

AR Metallizing has won the prestigious Oscar de l'Emballage (Packaging Oscar) in France for the best product in the Paper and Cardboard category.

The world leader in the production of metallised paper for the packaging, food and beverage industry, AR Metallizing won the Oscar de l'Emballage for its environmentally friendly metallised paper with ultra-gloss look, intended for the packaging of consumer goods.

Unlike conventional material, the ARM metallised paper contains no plastic film and is consequently significantly more energy-efficient to process, while no concessions are made to the glossy appearance of the packaging. AR Metallizing paper is 100-per-cent recyclable and biologically degradable. In this way, AR Metallizing helps hundreds of companies in the FMCG sector every year to minimise their ecological footprint, the company said in a statement.

These high-quality innovations have made AR Metallizing one of the fastest-growing companies in Belgium. In a few years' time, the turnover of AR Metallizing has more than tripled. The company has three production sites: in Genk (Belgium), Casalgrasso (Italy) and Franklin (US), where more than 300 employees in all work. AR Metallizing metallised paper is used for more than 20 billion packaging boxes, from champagne to toothpaste.

The French periodical Emballages Magazine organises the competition of the Oscars de l'Emballage annually.
