Walkers Crisps Launch On-Pack Online Competition

Walkers will offer prizes of up to £1000 in a new online game launching this month, as part of the brand's promotion of its British ingredients.

Customers can take part in 'Gary's Great Ingredient Hunt' by entering a code from special printed packs online, which places them into a draw to win £1000 or mobile vouchers worth up to £100, which will be distributed as Payzone, Paypoint or ePay vouchers. Prizes include free crisps, cash or newspapers, with Walkers promising to reimburse sellers within six days.

The web game, featuring an online 'treasure hunt' style map of UK counties, comes as Walkers looks to promote its range of British ingredients, which have been utilized by the crisp manufacturer since spring this year.

The company now uses salt from Cheshire, Somerset cheese, tomatoes from the Vale of Evesham and sour cream from Dorset in its crisp flavors.
