Pastificio Rummo To Revive Pasta Production In Flood-Affected Factory

Italy’s Pastificio Rummo has signed a financial agreement in Milan with a pool of 18 Italian credit institutions, in a bid to revive pasta production at the company.

In 2015, the company's pasta production unit suffered extensive damages after flooding from the Calore River, in the south west of the country.

The company has shared its business plan for the coming years with bankers and suppliers, and obtained their approval.

It aims to generate a turnover of €100 million, and ensure regular cash flow that will enable it to repay the debts of the member banks.

Industrial Plan

As a part of its industrial plan, the company will focus on building the well-known 'Lenta Lavorazione' brand, through a series of commercial and marketing actions.

It also expects to attract investments for increasing the production capacity in the pasta factory.

The historic Benevento-based family-run company traditionally produces durum wheat semolina pasta. It is renowned for its attention to product quality and respect for the territory.
