Peru, Superfoods Territory

Peru is consolidating its position as one of the world’s main providers of high quality food.

This is due in part to the Open Market policy and also because it supplies a range of foods that stand out for their originality, freshness, colour and flavour; attributes much in demand in the most sophisticated gastronomic markets.

This is the reason why many companies have seen this as the future of the development of their products in this field.

The quality of Peruvian asparagus is recognised worldwide. Peru is the world’s second exporter of canned asparagus.

Pepper piquillo is a variety of capsicum group and is sold in canned, it has a characteristic in her skin: is red. It is a fleshy variety, compact, consistent and highly demanded by consumers in the United States, Spain and France.

The fertility of its soil combined with the climate and agro-industrial technology has made Peru a key exporter of asparagus, artichokes, paprika, and their derivatives; products that have achieved international recognition and they are appearing in the menu of the most cosmopolitan restaurants in Europe, North America, Asia, as well as in Peruvian restaurants around the world.
