Premier Foods Introduces New Christmas Products

Premier Foods is introducing several new products and bringing back popular favourites from across its range ahead of the Christmas season.

The British food company is adding seasonally-themed products such as Bisto Best Turkey gravy, and sweet treats such as Ambrosia Salted Caramel Custard and Cadbury Roses Cake Bars.

"Consumers rely on their favourite brands at Christmas time. At Premier Foods, our portfolio includes a number of the nation's leading brands that are central to the Christmas season,” said Helen Warren-Piper, marketing director at Premier Foods.

It will also bring back popular products from brands such as Bird’s, Cadbury Cakes and Mr Kipling, with the latter undergoing a packaging refresh across its Christmas range.

The company is also enhancing its premium Ambrosia Deluxe line with its new Ambrosia Salted Caramel Custard, which will be available in a 400g can and a 500g carton. Ambrosia custard sold more units in December 2016 than in any other month.

Premier Foods adds that the number of people purchasing from the premium range has increased by 4.2% year-on-year.

Sweet Treats

The Roses Cake Bars will be introduced to the Cadbury Cake range this Christmas, and will be available in Strawberry Dream and Orange Creme flavours. The individually wrapped cakes are set to stay in the market beyond December.

In a Christmas cake market worth £103 million, Premier Foods is also bringing back popular ranges from its Mr Kipling and Cadbury Cakes brands, including Mr Kipling Merry Mince Pies, Frosty Fancies, Cadbury Flake Cakes and Mini Yule Logs.

In August, Premier Foods renewed its 30-year relationship with Mondelēz International to produce and market Cadbury branded cake and ambient dessert products.
